GREEN LANTERNS RECYCLED GLASS

The mission of Green Lanterns was the initial vision of John and Sasha McNamara. John and Sasha's dream of creating a company that would utilize recycled products and employ learning disabled young adults was realized with their serendipitous collaboration with glass artist, Caryn Samuell in 2010.

Producing beautiful home decor products from wine bottles collected from restaurants, caterers, the dump, and many wine loving friends, Green Lanterns is creating jobs on Cape Cod for the learning disabled graduates of Riverview School in Sandwich, MA.

The name "Green Lanterns" was inspired by three facts:
1. Recycling of the waste glass wine bottles is ecologically 'green.'
2. The bottles themselves are various shades of 'green' in color.
3. The Marvel Comic Book character "Green Lantern" did not have super powers, just super willpower to make things happen.
